After a decade of engineering for some of the greatest musicians in LA, I'm thrilled to start the next chapter with The Hideaway. A space where musicians can come to play together as a group, and record the magic that takes place. A pro level studio featuring the quality gear, experience, and vibe you'd find at a commercial studio, with an independent artist's budget in mind.
My approach to engineering has been shaped through 27 years as a musician and over 20 working in sound. A combination of all the technical recording elements with the artistry and creativity of musicianship. By understanding music, the creative process, and recording techniques, I know how to work with artists to help get the best performance and recording possible, all the while providing speed and detail-oriented precision.
I’ve worked hard to apply these techniques and provide great-sounding, no-nonsense sessions to everyone I work with. I’ve been fortunate to work with artists such as Arturo Sandoval (with a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Jazz Album), The Temptations, Lorraine Feather, Michael Franti, Randy Newman, Mishka, and Dori Caymmi. Not to mention the countless pro session players that bring these records to life. I look forward to working with you and adding your name and accomplishments to that list!
